I can see Mickey as a character developing in four possible ways:
One, he could become extremely cold and harsh and rough again and take out his anger on those around them. Let his father control him. Become an abuser of alcohol, drugs, and people, etc. I really don’t want to see this happen but…
Well put. I say a bit of all four as well. I really think that some kind of confrontation with Terry is inevitable because that’s the central external conflict here. So they have to move that forward in some way, or there would be no point in keeping Noel on. What I really hope is that we don’t end up in some situation where Mickey’s making progress and then ends up in jail for several years. It seems unlikely (Mickey would be off the show for all intents and purposes) but you never know.
